Wobbbegong Scuba Diving Center is situated on the Mozambican coast of Zavora, 80km south of Tofo in these undisturbed waters you find everything the heart of a scuba diver and adventurer desires; the big ones of the ocean and intact diving spots where the underwater life welcomes divers!
Two reef systems are stretched over several kilometers in front of the Mozambique Zavora coastline with some areas still waiting to be discovered. Inshore various Manta cleaning stations are found between 6 and 18m – the curious Mantas are getting playfully close to scuba divers or flying elegantly over their heads –pure fascination. Offshore many challenging dive sites between 25 and 40m can be found.
Seasonal Sea life: On the way to the dive sites depending on the season; Whale sharks, Leatherback Turtles can be seen and from July to October numerous Humpback whales are spotted. Both reef systems are lively places for the small and big of the underwater world – from the colourful Nudibranches, to big schools of barracudas, the rarely seen Small eye stingray, big potato bass and a couple of representatives of the shark family –to only name a view.
